My brother in law was given 40,000 dollars for his house deposit.

(His old man done the same for his daughters too, gave them a house to live in.)



First home. Paid in increments into his account (so it looked good to the bank). At 23 years of age.

Its the main reason I do not have to scrounge for money right now - I've never paid massive amounts of interest, but I hear he gets good rates.....accomodation was not hard for me in my 20s....we rented for a while, but we didn't have to in the end.
