Time for a Wiki (maybe not as gayas it sounds)

PUAHATE has tons of really good information, but it's mixed up with all sorts of rants, bots, inside jokes and other stupidities. If a newbie comes on this board looking for information about a PUA scammer, they'll have to do lots of digging in order to find a few nuggets of gold.

I propose that we start an anti-pua wiki, so that we can group information into well-organized, content-dense pages. If someone comes on here wanting to learn about RSD or speed-seduction, there should be a huge, well-organized page full of useful information, screenshots and citations. (and none of the other useless fluff)

Having information tightly-organized in this way will encourage contributors to come forward and fill in missing pieces. It could also act as an archive where we could store screencaps and copies of pages that were taken down after being mentioned on this site.

Additionally, it would be good for SEO, since Google's been punishing message boards and low-quality blogs ever since the "panda" update. Instead, Google wants densely-packed, high-quality, original content. (That's partly why Wikipedia pages for companies often outrank the company's corporate site for their own brand keyword)

Was actually already thinking about installing a wiki tomorrow. I was going to install it and make it accessible by adding a link to it on the bar at the top, like next to "Tinychat" or something.


Should the wiki be visible/accessible to people if they are not logged into the site?

Is it possible to make people only with certain amount of posts, like 100 able to modify it?
It's should be viewable to everyone though.
So pua retards won't bother us.

I believe that the Wiki software already has built-in anti-vandalism admin mechanisms.

Sure, the sooner search engines gets a hold of it the better.

What editing/admin functions will you switch on: to prevent trolls/vandals/shitposters? There should be some kind of control on that for it to be useful.

Not sure sir. I've never installed a wiki before, so I don't know what admin features it has. Once I install and look around, I can come back to you guys with what options we have.

You might want to make it so Mod's have to approve an edit.

Other wise fan boy's will probably fuck with it.

Definitely should be viewable to everybody...and indexable by the search engines.
